This design includes generous outdoor living areas capturing fantastic views over Steyn City towards the Joburg mountains. Slender canopies and delicate screens enliven bold facades and help to animate indoor/outdoor thresholds. An elegant palette defines both the interior and exterior architecture.
Nestled in residential Joburg, this family home capitalises on spectacular views. The architecture draws strength from the concrete finish used to create monumental forms which contrast to the slate roof.
Situated on a steep site against a mountain reserve, this house is stacked vertically with the living & pool level situated on the uppermost double volume level. The lounge floats over the pool with a feature glass floor. Bedroom and entertainment spaces are arranged on the levels below.

This house features double volume open-plan living spaces that extend onto an expansive covered terrace with a large infinity pool. The western façade is clad in undulating vertical fins to reduce the solar heat gain, while allowing uninterrupted views.
Situated in Johannesburg, this site has no predominant views, therefore it was important to create focal points and experiential moments within the architecture itself.
This was achieved via the use of strong axial water features, double volumes, a suspended bridge, central courtyard and a dramatic cantilevering living space.
